Gina is so much more than a lady who lives and breathes Italy, it’s more than a place to be, it’s a state of mind. Gina is the incarnation of elegant friendliness and shared generosity. Gina is a radiant cuisine and a terrace dedicated to gatherings. Gina is the new remarkable brasserie in the heart of Place Masséna in Nice.

Gina is an explosion of joy!

Nissa la bella

This summer, everyone’s headed to the South of France! Nice is the city of the marché Saleya where everyone is friendly with each other, it’s the temple of socca, zucchini flowers, pissaladière… Nice is nicknamed “Nissa la bella” and it used to belong to our Italian neighbors. The sunny city has kept the best of the dolce vita: a sense of easy living, the love of good ingredients, a thrill for celebrations and a hint of idleness. In the heart of Nice is of course Place Masséna, with its arcades reminiscent of Piazza Vittorio Veneto in Turin. Under the Ligurian red facades, this is where Gina found the best place in the Mediterranean to set up her quintessential brasserie.

Gina
all day
long

In the morning, Gina welcomes us with this beautiful smell of coffee coming from the Marzocco, and the tables are filled with sweet or savory delicacies. Then comes lunchtime, with fresh salads, handmade pastas and mouth-watering pizzas. In the late afternoon, it’s time to grab a waffle and some homemade ice cream, or even get ahead of the aperitivo hour. This blessed time of the day when some people are only getting out of work and others are already ordering another round of Aperol Spritz… When dinner time comes, it’s a strong debate between the ravishing terrace and the delightful dining room. At Gina, Cheffe Geraldine Rapp finds her products as close as possible to the source: she crosses the border to find in Italy what is good from our transalpine cousins, and travels the coast from Var to the Alpes-Maritimes to find what the Riviera offers the best.
